How do you make extra money?

It's 2 p.m. and I have successfully washed, dried and folded 10 loads of laundry, have all of my NYE dishes, pots and pans soaking, trash taken out, baby is just waking up from his nap. I have successfully updated and redesigned one of my blogs, contacted new recruits for my Home Business, and signed up for some other programs to make my Resolution to be more profitable a success. How do you other SAHM's make extra money?

Jingit is a fast way, you start out with a $5 a week earning limit, but as you get others to sign up your earning potential increases. It only takes me a few minutes a day, and it instantly transfers to the Jingit Debit card for immediate use. I can't tell you how many times it has come in handy for a gallon of milk, or gas money for the kids or myself. My daughter even uses it! You can sign up using just your facebook profile!

I also cashed in my Upromise savings in 2011, not a gigantic amount but seeing as that the amount I had in there would only give my kids about $25 a piece for college, I went ahead and cashed in. Upromise is easy to sign up for, create your profile, register your credit cards, grocery savings cards, and invite friends and family to help and you are on your way. It adds money to your account without you having to do a thing! (I suggest starting when your kids are little, and updating the info whenever you get a new credit/debit card or grocery card for maximum benefits). Also earn extra buy shopping online!!!

Inbox Dollars is another way to earn some cash, but obviously will take some of your time, and it is best to dedicate some time to it daily, even if it's only a few emails a day. You can earn by reading emails, taking surveys, playing games, watching videos, redeeming coupons etc. As of today my cash balance is $13.49!!

SwagBucks has proven to be another way to earn, download their toolbar and use their search engine to earn "SwagBucks" you can earn other bucks as well for taking advantage of deals, playing games, and participating in the daily poll. Log in daily to earn Swag Bucks and then redeem for gift cards and such. Again it takes some daily dedication, but only a few minutes, and by Christmas you should have enough to redeem some fantastic gift cards for some great presents! You get 30 SwagBucks just for signing up!!

Zazzle is another one that I have found to pay out a little cash. Are you creative, witty, artistic? Design some T-shirts, mugs, calendars, shoes, etc and publish them for purchase, you earn a percentage of every item sold!

Have a blog? You definitely need to look into Google Adsense and Google Analytics, I am using them now, and will report back to you with some wonderful results!

I have found that Celebrating Home can offer some wonderful benefits, and it's up to you how much time you put into it, therefore it's up to you how much money you make! One of my resolutions is to build my business and make it more profitable in 2012! My goal this month is to grow my team, and contact as many organizations as I can about fundraising with Celebrating Home in 2012! Contact me for more info!

Getting through Christmas with 7 kids to buy for was next to impossible this year. We pulled through but not without a whole lot of help from family, friends, and angels in disguise. The little one was upset that snow did not come with Christmas this year, but his eyes were aglow when he opened his share of gifts.

How did you manage this Christmas?

With Christmas a thing of the past, it is time to get on with the New Year. A New Year, a New Me! My resolutions?

  • For starters, it is to manage money better. Being only a one income family has taken it's toll on our wallet, without a doubt. Saving money, and being more efficient is at the top of the list. Couponing will play a huge part of that. My ultimate goal is to establish a stock pile of the necessities...stock piling things like snacks and so forth, has proven to be next to impossible with so many kids. So things like laundry detergent, toilet paper, toiletries and such will help us in the long run. My goal is to feed my entire family for around $300 a month...That's $75 a week! I know it's wishful thinking, but it will be fun and rewarding to try and reach that goal.

  • Losing weight, the all popular resolution every year, is another topper to the list. I am giving myself the time line of Big C's graduation to try to lose at least 20 lbs. Since we are saving money and cutting out the eating out portion of our expenses, this may be a little easier, this year.

  • Cutting out the nasty, dirty habit of smoking, this will be my first official attempt at giving up the tobacco. I've smoked since I was 15 yrs old, so this may be the hardest thing yet, wish me luck! I only want to make sure that I am hear for my children for as long as possible, and hopefully for my grandchildren as well!

  • Putting more time into my blog and home business. I have gotten away from the writing that I wanted to do because of all of the hoopla that has been going on around here, Putting more time into my Celebrating Home business will not only give me a little adult time, but it will also bring in a little extra money to help with the budget issues.

  • Spending more quality time with my children; As you can imagine, having seven kids with seven different personalities and issues, giving each child 100% of what they need as far as time is concerned is next to impossible. Coordinating that with both of us being able to spend some one on one time will take some major work on our part, but I'm sure we can do it.

  • Figuring out a way to be gainfully employed from my home. This has been a big thing for me for years. When my children were little, I was gone alot, being a single parent I worked two to three jobs. I want to be here for all of them now, able to attend school functions...although a few are still young, I have a few that are ready to leave the nest in the next few years, and I don't want to miss a thing!

Those are a few of the resolutions that I have for 2012, share your resolutions or your ideas on how to help me keep to mine!!!

Until Next Time,

Life In General

I haven't posted for a while and I will try not to bore you with a 3 hour post, but here it goes. I have finally succeeded in the potty training department, it seemed like an eternity, and more mess than any human should possibly have to endure, but it is done. HOORAY!!!

I am getting better with the idea of having a Senior in the house, learning from my mistakes and taking in the actuality of how expensive it is. ACT are back and it looks like we will be footing the bill for a few of the kids to take them again to get the scores up. All in all, the outlook is good on that front, college is still the goal.

Getting a bit more into the stay at home mom thing, (hence the reason I haven't been posting a lot) Trying to get a schedule for myself established, you know the kind where you spend an hour cleaning a room, and then leave to start on another, only to come back and the room you just finished somehow encountered a tornado while you were away. Searching all closets, beds, dressers, toy boxes, etc for the hidden laundry that probably hasn't been washed in a month.

I have also gotten into learning the tricks of Extreme Couponing...Now mind you I have not been able to save 99% of my grocery bill, or even begin on a stock pile. But I'm getting there, lol. My first official grocery store trip with coupons was very disorganized, I had all of my coupons in an envelope and had to stop every 5 steps to check if I had a coupon for this item of that. Not successful to say the least, although I did end up saving $55...

I came home and decided I really needed to get into this if it was going to work for us, so I googled couponing and came across an amazing site www.couponing101.com. Very educational for the beginning couponer! For less than $10 I was able to make my coupon binder: A simple binder (for school), dividers,2 packs of baseball card pages, and tabs, and a little pouch to keep all of my couponing materials in (pen, extra tabs, etc). It took me a few hours, but I decided the best way for me was to use the dividers to seperate my coupons into 8 categories: Food, snacks, drinks, household, hygeine, paper and misc. once I seperated all of my coupons into those categories, I went alphabetical (I wasn't anal about it, I just went ABC and didn't pay attention to the second letter) I put the coupons that would expire first in front, so I was sure they would get used first. Time Consuming, but I am much more confident about my next shopping trip!

Another thing that I learned was not to just look for deals on ANYTHING. Look for deals on things you will actually USE, It may be feel great to get 10 of an item for only $.25, but if you aren't going to use it, then it really doesn't make a difference. AND most important thing, (of course I forgot this on my first trip) MAKE A LIST!!! If you find a wonderful deal on something great, otherwise try to stick to the list!

Well that is my post for the day! If you have any couponing tips for me or my readers PLEASE post them here!!!

Until Next Time,

My Mixed Up Family of 9!
